Stainless Steel 310 pipe is a medium carbon austenitic stainless steel for high temperature applications such as heat treatment equipment and furnace parts. It contains 25% chromium and 20% nickel which make them highly corrosion and oxidation resistance. It is a lower carbon version and less prone to embrittlement and sensitisation in service.

Grade 310 stainless steel pipe suffers from thermal shock is not recommended for frequent liquid quenching. Due to its low magnetic permeability and toughness it is often used in cryogenic applications. It can be hardened by cold work, but it is rarely practiced.

ss 310 seamless pipe has are forged in the temperature range between 975 to 1175°C. To relieve all stresses from the forging process annealing is recommended after forging. It can be readily cold formed by standard methods and equipment.

310 welded pipes is the steel pipe joint, which is use the steel belt or steel plate material through the bending cramp into round, square etc. then welded into shape. It is useful for conveying water, heating, sewage, steam, gas, air and other low-pressure fluid and other uses. The machinability of Grades 310 pipe is similar Grade 304. Work hardening can be an issue and it is normal to remove the work hardened layer by using slow speeds and heavy cuts, with good lubrication and sharp tools. Heavy rigid tools and powerful machines are used.
