ASTM A334 Gr 1 is the part of standard covers wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe are intended for use at low temperatures. It shall be treated to control their microstructure. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, pitting resistance to chloride environment, general resistivity and excellent strength. It is a medium carbon steel tube with max 0.30 % carbon content with combination of 0.40-1.06 % manganese. ASME SA334 Grade 1 Pipes are also available in series of schedules like SCH5,10,20,30,40,60,80,XS,XXS,120,140,160.

A334 gr 1 are used in the construction of oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers, and ships where the piping must transport fluids and gases that exhibit higher temperatures and pressure levels.

SA334 Gr 1 has a higher concentration of carbon than other types of steel. SA334 gr 1 pipes and tubes are available in forms like rectangular, square, coiled, hydraulic, u-shape etc as per customer requirement of size.

SA334 Grade 1 are tough & have better conductivity & ductility which makes them being use in pressure vessels, petrochemical plants, boiler equipment, oil refineries, nuclear plants.
