SS 316h seamless pipe has higher strength at elevated temperatures and it can be is use for structural and pressure vessel application at temperature above 932°F. It has high carbon content which delivers higher tensile and yield strength compare to AISI 316h seamless tube and its austenitic structure offers excellent toughness down to cryogenic temperatures.

Weldability
It can be simply welded by most standard process and post welding heat treatment is not require.
Hot Forming
Working temperatures of 1700 – 2200°F are suggested for most hot working processes. For maximum corrosion resistance, it must be annealed at 1900°F minimum and water quenched or quickly cooled by other means.
Cold Forming
It is quite ductile and can be easily formed. Cold working operation will increase the strength and hardness of it and may leave it slightly magnetic.
Welding
It can be easily welded by most conventional processes and post weld heat treatment is not required.
Machining
It is put through to work hardening while deformation and it is subjected to chip breaking. The best machining can be achieve with heavier feeds, slower speeds, excellent lubrication, sharp tooling and effective hard tool.
UNS S31609 welded tube Corrosion Resistance
It provide good resistance to pitting in phosphoric and acetic acids. It perform well in boiling 20% phosphoric acid. It can also be utilize in food and pharmaceutical processing industries where it is use to handle hot organic and fatty acid where product contamination is concern.
It perform well in fresh water service even with high chlorides level. It provide excellent corrosion resistance in marine environment under atmospheric situation.
It has high molybdenum content guarantees it to offer superior pitting resistance in applications which involves chloride solutions especially in oxidizing condition.
What is the difference between 316H and 316Ti?
Inox 316h erw pipe has higher strength at raise temperature and at times it is use for structural and pressure including application at temperatures above 500°C but the titanium stabilize grade i.e. SS 316Ti tubing is often more suitable option.
