Alloy 20 Seamless Pipe is an austenitic stainless steel which is developed for applications involving sulfuric acid. It resists pitting and chloride ion corrosion better than stainless steel 304. The content of copper protects it against sulfuric acid.
Carpenter Alloy 20cb3 Pipe is generally furnished in a stabilized annealed condition. It is highly recommended in those areas where stainless steel 316 is prone to stress related corrosion cracking.
Incoloy Alloy 20 Pipe is often chosen to solve stress corrosion cracking problem which may occur with stainless steel 316L. It has excellent general pitting, corrosion, and crevice corrosion resistance in chemicals containing phosphoric, chloride, sulfuric, and nitric acids.
Carpenter 20 Pipe also contains niobium for stabilization against resultant intergranular corrosion and sensitization. It is initially designed for use in sulfuric acid related industries.
UNS N08020 Pipe is a popular choice for a wide variety of applications such as heat exchangers,
chemical and allied industries, tanks, manufacture of synthetic rubber and plastics, pharmaceuticals, explosives, food and dye production, pickling racks, sulfur dioxide scrubbers and other severe environments, etc.
